THE WORLD
IS OUR FIELD®

S & P has recognized how crucial it is to act in an economically, ecologically and socially responsible manner – not only for humankind, but also to protect our environment.

OUR COMMITMENT TO A GREEN FUTURE

Without the resources that the earth offers us, our civilization could not exist. Our planet can exist without humans, but humans cannot exist without the planet. To ensure a lasting and sustainable future, innovative approaches to protecting existing ecosystems are essential.

Together for the climate:
Use S & P as Scope 3 of your supply chain

2024

We will be setting milestones in our sustainable development as early as 2024:

We obtain our electricity exclusively from renewable sources.

Innovative heat recovery systems enable us to significantly reduce our gas consumption.

Our vehicle fleet is gradually being converted to electromobility.

This is just the beginning. A number of other initiatives are being planned to continuously reduce our CO2 footprint.

Learn how the CO2 neutrality of our products is evolving toward full climate neutrality*.

Completely CO2 neutral, 0g*
2023 = 117 g
2024 = 57 g
2025 = 0 g
*CO2 neutrality in terms of Scope 1 and 2.

FAQ

How does S & P Federnwerk contribute to reducing the CO2 footprint in production?
  • S & P Federnwerk optimizes the furnace temperatures in the heat treatment process to reduce gas consumption and thereby reduce CO₂ emissions.
  • Measures are also taken to minimize scrap and rejects in order to use resources more efficiently and avoid waste.

S & P Federnwerk works continuously in close cooperation with its suppliers to identify and implement opportunities to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. The submission of a CO₂ balance sheet is an important part of our supplier evaluation and serves as additional motivation for our partners to actively take measures to reduce their CO₂ emissions.

We want to be net climate neutral in Scope 1 & 2 by 2026. To achieve this goal, we have already implemented the following projects:

  • Radio-controlled high-speed doors installed
  • Purchase of 100% natural electricity
  • Conversion of industrial trucks to electric drive
  • Switching the vehicle fleet to electric drives

The following measures are also planned:

  • Installation of a PV system
  • Conversion of the vehicle fleet to electric
  • Utilization of waste heat from machines
  • Investment in compensation projects
