Wireform and torsion bar springs
The wireform springs are shaped springs made entirely of spring steel wire with a circular cross-section. They are mainly used to absorb forces and torques. Like the large number of applications, the variety of shapes is almost unlimited.
The S & P production programme mainly consists of torsion bar springs with the same cross-section throughout, which are characterised by a very long, straight drill section with generally bent ends.
Torsion bar springs are always used when torsion/leg springs or clock springs cannot be accommodated in the available installation space, but the installation space required for the length of the torsion bar springs is provided.
The most reliable and simplest spring form should always be used when developing wireform and torsion bar springs. The shape and size depends on its function and the available installation space.
